Synopsis: An average Joe meets the perfect woman, but his lack of confidence and the influence of his friends and family begin to pick away at the relationship.
She's Out of My League's major plot was quite reminiscent of Employee of The Month(2006), but for the most part, She's Out of My League was actually a light-hearted, funny film which, actually made me laugh. The similarities were quite...well, similar. The 'problem' with the love interests from both films were equally as weird as each other, both the 'average Joes' in each film had their own 'posse' who supported their friend in need. Only difference- She's Out of My League did it better.
I wasn't thrilled about Alice Eve's role as the love interest, it was a pretty flat, lifeless performance. There was nothing which really stood out for me.
There were a number of predictable moments within the film, some of which were entertaining, but just that. It followed many other 'rom-com' formats.
Other than a few entertaining moments in the film, there really wasn't anything which was superior to that of other romantic comedies.
Not disappointing, but scrapes by being just another 'rom-com'.
